TWW Healthcare (TWWH) has an active Patient Participation Group (PPG).The overall aim of our PPG is to develop a positive and constructive relationship between the Practice and the community of patients it serves, ensuring that we remain accountable and responsive to your needs. It is an independent, voluntary, patient-focused voice, representing your views, with specific reference to health and social care matters that influence the strategic planning of TWWH, ensuring delivery of the highest standards of medical care with the patient as central to each consultation.
We would like our group to reflect the diversity of our patients with all ages, ethnic groups and sexes represented. You will be invited to attend meetings, but you do not have to attend every meeting; some meetings will be face to face and some will be via on-line meeting sessions. For those patients without access to computers we usually attempt to do PPG meetings in person but we are very happy to liaise by post with you or to have telephone conversations as required.
Whilst there are many issues that affect the patient population, we are working with your PPG on some key issues:
- Continuity of care, particularly for patients with multiple long-term conditions who need at least one regular appointment each year, and
- How to approach the increase in demand for services that is system-wide, whilst supporting those with the greatest level of need
- Improving access and ensuring safe working for staff
If you wish to participate please contact the Practice, complete the PPG online form or download the pdf version of our sign up form, complete and deliver to the surgery.
Please note that the PPG cannot become involved in matters of a specifically medical or clinical nature.
